Same-Sex Marriage: An Annotated Bibliography
1) Katz, Carla. "The "M" Word Matters ": November 12, 2007
This is article talks about gay marriage as a civil rights issue, and how it's not just a gay issue. It's not very long, but it offers some good insight, and a decent amount of some background information. I think this will defiantly come in handy.
2) Miller, Kimberly. "Pets can get insurance at PBCC, partners can't": November 24, 2007
This is just crazy. A college in Palm Beach sent a memo last week saying they now carried the option of pet insurance for full time students, but that domestic partners are still not allowed that benefit. Don't get me wrong, I love animals but this is just ridiculous.
3) Hamlin, Jesse. "TV ad campaign attempts to sway the undecided on same-sex marriage" San Fransisco Chronicle: October 9th 2007
This article published in the San Fransisco Chronicle is talking about the state of California, and how the governor is trying to veto a bill in favor of same-sex marriage. What I like about this though is it talks about a new commercial they have running on television. With the slogan being "What if you couldn't marry the person you loved?" That one question captures so much. It's one of those questions that make you stop and think for a moment about how the other side feels.
4) Boston Globe. "Same-Sex Battle Rages On": November 6th
This is a really short article, but I liked what it had to say, and I wanted to incorporate it into my paper somehow.
